Every week, it seems like there’s more and more evidence to support the fact that people should eat less fat. However, a new study suggest that there is very little evidence out there to actually support this claim.
Zoe Harcombe, a researcher and Ph.D. candidate at University of the West of Scotland, says:
“The bottom line is that there wasn’t evidence for those guidelines to be introduced. … One of the most important things that should have underpinned the guidelines is sound nutritional knowledge, and that was distinctly lacking.”
