For people who have long been working on losing all those extra pounds, you may have found yourself in a rut wondering which diet is the best. The fact of the matter is there is no straightforward answer when it comes to that.

Each person is unique and how a diet affects one person may be different from how it affects you. To make choosing simpler, we have narrowed down the top 13 diet plans out there.

1. Weight Watchers Diet

A lot of people swear by its effectiveness and it’s extremely easy to follow. All you have to do is log-in the foods you have consumed in a day and make sure they do not go above the prescribed calorie intake that Weight Watchers have calculated for you.

The plus side of this diet is you can eat everything in moderation and the limit given to everyone can easily fit into three satisfying meals a day.

Hmmmmmm… I note that the Medifast plan is omitted. I’ve been using it for 10.5 months and thus far have lost 108 lbs and 12+ inches of my waist, as well as significantly improving my health. Other diet raters have put it at near the top of the ratings list. All I know is that it works for me because of the great variety and convenience of the Medifast meals (actually 100-110 calorie snacks) and the Lean and Green meal each day–minimal planning and preparation. And the free health Take Shape For Life (TSFL) coach who calls me weekly and the TSFL group Facebook page both help greatly.

Medifast ? god , no. Avoid that like the plague.

    What is left to drink.
Coffee, Milk Shakes, Egg Nog, Orange Juice, Tap Water.
There is something wrong with everything.
    Jerks.

Ignore this people, it’s just another industry advert site. Eat natural food, like our ancestors ate, and you will be fine. Avoid like the plague anything processed, and anything which is advertised as “low fat”. And ignore all the advice to avoid eggs, meat, fish etc, because that “advice” comes from the processed food industry. And forget about fat and cholesterol being harmful, again that came from the processed food industry and has now been thoroughly debunked. You have the internet in front of you – educate yourselves, and don’t rely on industry funded websites to tell you what to do.

Was there any point to this article? Alcohol, Sugary Drinks and Artificaly Sweetened Drinks bad. Water good. Thanks, Einstein.

  • calimuhfuka

They left out why certain drinks are bad. Processed drinks have high fructose corn syrup in it, which isn’t sugar, although labeled as such; its really a sweetener that makes rats obese when tested on them, whaddya think it does to you? Then diet drinks, have aspartame in it, which is another sweetener, but highly toxic. Chocolate drinks, again, High fructose corn syrup. Tap water? No. Tons of fluoride. Get a good water filter (I use zero water) make your own drinks, plant a garden, stop relying on the “Businesses” of food, they will add anything in their foods to make you eat more so they can sell you more. Want to be healthy? Eat real food, its that simple.

the problem with the article is that most all of the drinks mentioned are harmful only if consumed in great quantities…and that is true of most all food and drink and medicine and baths and TV watching and gambling and on and on … pretty much waste of ink

Oh, OK, see, you had me there. I thought this was a real story when it was really just an ad for water. You got me.

And – guess what – you have to LIMIT water, just like everything else! Several years ago, a woman decided if the 8-10 8 ounce glasses of water per day was a good thing, LOTS MORE was better – so she drank close to 10 GALLONS a day! That flushed all the water soluble vitamins from her system – and filled her up to the point that she was unable to replenish those vitamins – and yes, it only took a couple of WEEKS to kill her!

I was w/u till u recommended 1 Diet Soda a day is ‘fine.’ Would u advise ppl to smoke 1 cigarette a day? Probably not! Aspartame is the ‘new’ cigarette habit! Not in a good way! Sorry.
