The study finds that a diet that mimics fasting can reduce risk factors related to cancer, diabetes and cardiovascular disease. The study finds that it’s not all about simply not eating and skipping meals, it is about being on a calorie restricted diet. After five days of reduced calorie intake, your body can already show signs of improved health. The study was performed with yeast, mice and humans.

In all circumstances, drastic effects, positive effects, on the body were noticed. Particularly, there were signs of lowered cholesterol, lower fat levels, and better health across the board generally, after just five days of such a restrictive diet.
