Crispy Hash Browns Recipe

Extra crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside makes this classic American staple food the perfect snack for every occasion.


  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb (0.5kg) Russet baking potatoes
  • Salt and pepper


  1. Peel and grate the potatoes.
  2. Squeeze out as much moisture as you can from the grated potaoes.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large pan on medium high heat.
  4. When the oil starts shimmering spread the potatoes along the bottom of the pan and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  5. Fry for about 3 minutes or until golden brown then flip all at once with a spatula.
  6. Fry for about 2 minutes more.
  7. Place on paper towels to drain the excess oil.
