This vegetarian version of the classic chili recipe is so well-balanced that the folks eating it might not even notice the difference. Easy to make and delicious – the perfect recipe for a lazy day.

  • 1 package frozen crumbles
  • 2 cans black beans
  • 1 can light red kidney beans
  • 2 cans dark red kidney beans
  • 1 can tomato juice
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 3 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 5 chopped onions
  • 1 half tablespoons ground cumin
  • 2 bay leaves
  • salt and pepper


  1. This recipe is pretty much simple. All you have to do is take a large pot and combine the meat substitute, black beans, diced tomatoes, tomato juice, kidney beans, chili powder, onions, garlic powder, cumin, bay leaves salt and pepper. Mix it up nicely, bring to a simmer and cover. Let it simmer for at least 1 hour, and that’s about it.
