Let’s get one thing out of the way right now, just so there are no misunderstandings later – fresh food will always be the preferred choice over frozen food. It is fresher, it is tastier and it is healthier for you. However, there is no reason to get carried away and avoid frozen food altogether.

When you consider how long frozen veggies will keep, sometimes it is just a smart practice to buy frozen, especially if we are talking “filler” veggies that you add to dishes for volume more than taste.
